Oversized and special cargo transport

Oversized cargo is considered to be a load whose width exceeds 2.55 meters, height exceeds 4 meters or length with the truck exceeds 20 meters. The transport of such loads requires a special cargo transport permit from the Road Administration and often also the use of an escort vehicle. Stekkor Transport offers a full service for the transport of oversized loads – from route planning to permit application and safe delivery.

Our platform semi-trailer allows the transport of standard loads up to 13.6 meters long and 2.48 meters wide. For oversized loads, the platform width is up to 3 meters and the length is according to the needs of the project. The trailer’s carrying capacity is sufficient for the transport of heavy industrial equipment, modular houses and metal structures. If necessary, we perform loading and unloading work with our crane trucks.

Organizing oversized transport begins with route planning. We assess road conditions, bridge carrying capacity, road widths and height restrictions. We apply for a special cargo transport permit from the Road Administration, which may take 5-10 working days depending on the route. If necessary, we will organize a delivery vehicle through partners. The entire process is handled by us – the client does not have to deal with permits themselves.

Additional Equipment for Lifting Operations

Not All Clients or Lifting Tasks Are the Same We understand that each client and lifting operation has unique requirements, and we are well-prepared to meet them. Our machines are equipped with all the necessary lifting accessories, including lifting traverses, lifting forks, slings, lifting chains, stone forks, and truss installation tools. These are either permanently on board our trucks or brought from our base as needed.
